After the stampede had relinquished, Alexei stood up. As he looked around, he saw that the room had come almost to a complete standstill. Creighton and Crow were in one of those American Western film stand offs, right before the shoot out. Alexei wasn't sure what to do in this situation.
If he attacked Creighton he would almost certainly die. And, nothing personal, but dying was not on today's agenda. It would be a "noble death", but Ravenclaws are smart, not "brave". And for some reason history revealed that smart people lived longer, while "brave" people were usually the first to die.
If he released more students a few things would happen: they would trample him again, which prompted him to just let them stay trapped, and it could set Creighton off. And, once again. Dead.
He surveyed his surroundings once more, and noticed that the little girl that tried to kill him earlier was still lying outside the room. He decided that if he were to slowly back away he could get to her and make sure she didn't get up. So that's just what he did.
When Alexei got to the little girl her face was bruised and her clothes had shoe prints all over them. Apparantly the little beasts had trampled her as well. Not that she didn't deserve it. He figured that his petrifying spell would wear off any minute now, and decided that the most productive course of action was to, like a sibling (or what he imagined a sibling would be like), sit on the target.
"Stay," He said rather sarcastically, "Good girl!" He added, patting her head.

Though being a metamorphmagus was a great gift the ability came with some disadvantages, depending on what form was taken. In the case of the pseudo-werewolf form Vincent was no longer able to use magic, not even wordless magic. He couldn't concentrate on both and hold the form.
So there was nothing he could do to stop from crushing a few students when he was flung. It wasn't enough to kill anyone but the chairs had splintered and along with them a few limbs. There wasn't much he could do about that either. Hopefully the students would be alright and take advantage of the broken chairs to escape.
Vincent was pleased, however, to see Creighton retreating as he got to his feet. A werewolf in the castle had given the Minister the intended shock and he didn't seem to know what to do about this new problem. In fact, he looked somewhat intimidated. This time, rather than charging, Vincent approached more cautiously, keeping his eyes steady on Creighton. He was already limping and being flung around anymore today wasn't going to do him any favors. A growl eased from his throat as he came closer.
Sooner than later he would have to pounce but then what? Rip the man's throat out? The Minister certainly deserved it but Vincent wasn't sure he wanted anyone's life to end in his artificial jaws.

Creighton moved himself closer to the rear wall as the beast got to it's feet. He found it strange that there was a were-wolf in the castle in broad daylight. The only werewolf known to be able to transform at will was Greyback. Creighton knew that even though he hadn't met too many werewolves in his lifetime, that this thing was too young to be him.
Werewolves were not known for their stability. Creighton eyed the beast as it stood there, blood and saliva dripping from its jowels. They were once again at a stand still. Creighton for once had no desire to make a first move. He figured that the beast was either too exhausted or too week to keep its form. He hoped that it would transform back to it's human form; or it could lunge at him and he would just throw children in its way.
The silence grew unnerving, and just as Creighton was about to strike he was interrupted by a ruckus from just outside the door.
Not taking his eyes of the beast he listened to figure out what was going on. It sounded as though a fight had broken out, and not so much a magical one. There was a loud cry from what was presumably a male, and he could only assume that Shavonne was having her way with her new toy.
There was a faint sound under the tussle outside, it sounded like the little echo of footsteps, but he wasn't sure.
OOC: this is an awkward post because it's the first time Creighton ever calls Shavonne by name. (Will come up later)

Shavonne's face grew hot as she felt a great pressure upon her chest. That infidel sat on her! The heat in her face rushed throughout her whole body when he tapped her head. The moment she got free she was going to make this little book worm pay.
They both sat in silence for a while, (her by force, he was just a moron) and she could hear the sounds of screams and growling as the mock-werewolf pranced about the Great Hall. Shavonne grew curious as to why Creighton hadn't simply killed him- or figured out it wasn't a real werewolf- but decided that it was not going to matter now that her fingers were twitching. The nerd's spell had worn off.
Clearly the boy was unaware of Shavonne's mobility, and she was going to use that to her advantage. Her wand was still in her hand (with a death-grip on it), she wasn't about to use any spells on a wand that would register to her. The Ayers' wand was registered to a dead man but never got re-entered into the system. She only used that wand to do her dirtiest work. So for now she would do something childish.
She, very quickly and very quietly, stabbed the boy in the leg with her wand. He shouted in agony as she ripped the hunk of wood from his leg. After wiping the blood on her robes she, with a flick of her wrist, sent the boy flying across the hall and into the stone corridor.
She then, hobbled (as her body was still fighting the last bit of the spell), slowly gaining grace and agility, into the Great Hall. She came upon a hairy Crow and Creighton at a standstill. She was so infuriated at Creighton's lack of ability to kill without thinking that she shouted, "It's Crow! He's a Metamorphagus! Just kill him already will you?!"
Shavonne would do it herself, but she realized in her race into the Great Hall that she'd left the Ayers' boy's wand in the hallway. 'I'm such an idiot.'

Found out, the wolf’s round eyes shot over to Shavonne in shock then back to Creighton before lunging. There was no choosing anymore. The minister would kill him if he didn’t act first. Git deserved it anyway.
Vincent landed on the man, a mass of desperate teeth, fur and claws. The throat seemed the best target but he also made a point of smacking the Minister’s wand away or at least so that it wasn’t pointed at him. If he could just end this now then everything would be fine. He would spend the rest of his life running, having actually killed the Minister but that wasn’t much different from the future he’d had in front of him before today. Interesting how things could change and yet remain the same. Maybe what Vincent needed was to rethink the way he was living his life.
Still put off by the idea of ripping Creighton’s throat out Vincent hesitated and decided to try strangling him instead. And just as soon as he did, he realized he was too weak for that, even in this bulkier form, that the blood matting his dark fur was his. It wasn’t going to be enough or nearly fast enough to end anything.

'...He's a Metamorphagus!' The little cretin screamed as the furry beast lunged at Creighton.
So, he might actually have some use for me after all. Creighton began to ponder the great many things he could do with a meta on his side. Not that this mutt ever would join willingly. But there were countless possiblitities running through his hea, which at this point was starting to feel a little light. Amognst Creighton's fantasies he hadn't noticed that Crow was now strangling him.
Creighton was used to violence as a child, growing up with his heartless father he too became numb. But, now being brought back to reality by a lack of oxygen he threw the still weak thing off of him and rose to his feet.
Looking around at his plan that had fallen apart, he quickly retrieved his wand and made for the side entrance, or in his case, exit. "I'll deal with you later." He said to both Crow and Silvertail.

After a few minutes of watching Creighton’s blank eyes, Vincent had almost let him go prematurely. Surely it wasn’t as easy as that? On the other hand they had been at it for awhile with considerable damage to both sides.
But no. Creighton sprang to life suddenly and even threw him aside. As he struggled to his feet Vincent was sure it would be over now but the Minister merely collected his things and skulked off. The werewolf watched him go, one claw flexing unnaturally as its body started to revert to its natural form. He wouldn’t believe Creighton was actually running until he had been gone for some time but hit the floor with a thud anyway. There would be no chase. The werewolf lay with the one claw twitching and waited to change back.

Shavonne had been watching the struggle between Creighton and the Thing closely, making sure not to interfere. She was certain it would agitate Creighton. Her eyes had followed them as Creighton quite suddenly threw off his assailant and sulked back into the corridors of the school. 'I'll deal with you later.' She wasn't sure whom he'd addressed, and was certain there was no reason for him to logically be cross with her. But then with someone's who's mad with power logic never really matters.
She cast a wicked glare at the twitching imbusile and turned for the grand doorway. The little Ravenclaw heroboy was still standing there, as she passed him she threw her fist at his face and quickly made for the starecase.
"Filthy creature" she muttered as she made her grand exit.

Rightfully pissed Adela ran towards the Great Hall. That bloody power hungry minister had called for all muggle-borns. She saw none of those students in question roaming the halls. They had all already gone and she knew that they were in trouble. It's a good thing I never follow directions immediately or I'd be in trouble too.
Something exploded and she heard screaming. Cursing mentally she sprinted harder only to come to the Great Hall a couple minutes later. That creepy Gryffindor girl ran around a corner and out of reflex Adela tripped her and thought as hard as she could 'Petrificus Totalis' SCORE! The girl fell to the ground. Whether she was petrified she didn't know and didn't care. She kept running and went around the corner to find a Ravenclaw boy on the ground against the wall whimpering. Great.
"Are you OK?" She asked peeking around the doors, she registered the fact that they had been blown apart. A half Crow, half wolf lay on the ground. Am I the only one who can't get to a fight in time? she mentally sighed. There were dead bodies cluttering the hall. More Hufflepuff than anything. From the bottom of her stomach she felt the knowledge that that creeper had done it. Or at least some of it. That snot is a cold-blooded killer. She mentally noted to herself to kill the girl the next time she saw her. It would end.
Many students were still screaming and wriggling in strapped chairs. 'Diffindo' The seams of all the straps on the chairs split and the students fell to the floor and then jumbled past her. She turned her attention back to the Ravenclaw at the door and waited for his response. She was fairly calm considering everything that was happening.

Knowing what sort of problems it would cause if he didn’t shift back immediately Vincent attempted to concentrate. He found it wasn’t that hard to distance himself from what was happening as he already didn’t want to be there. His hand stopped twitching as he did and gradually he lost his fur, tail, and snout. Finally he was a rather ragged human instead wondering if he’d be able to get up. The shift and battle had lost him most of his shirt and he could see as well as feel a lot of bruises and scrapes. The gash across his front where Creighton had got him was feeling pretty spiteful.
Vincent rolled over and felt around for his wand. Finding it and in one piece where he’d stashed it in his pocket was a comfort. The sight that greeted him when he sat up did not. Hall full of bodies. Doors smashed to pieces. More upstairs. He sighed and ran a hand over his face. They were going to need help. There were going to be questions.
Voices drew his attention out of the room. More students had shown up? The spell on their dormitories must have worn off. He summoned a likely looking piece of wreckage and used it as a crutch to get up hobble over.
“Are you two alright?” Alexei looked like someone had got a good one at him. In the meantime, Vincent pointed his wand to his throat and muttered, “Sonorus.”
“Attention all students. Any seventh or sixth years with any special talent at healing or potions please report to the seventh floor corridor. All other students please remain in your dormitories until further notice. Repeat: seventh or sixth years with experience at healing report to the seventh floor corridor. All others please remain in your dormitories.”

Crow was up. And moving fairly well I might add. Adela thought it was hilarious for him to have chosen a were-wolf. She would have to question his sanity later, for the moment he was calling sixth and seventh years. There is no WAY I'm going back to my dormitory. I've been waiting too long to help and have already missed so much,She thought, getting a little angry.
"I'm great," she replied sounding only slightly flustered,"You don't really expect me to go back do you? It seems to me that you need all the help you can get." She emphasized her point by leaning around the door and looking at the slumps of human flesh. She had to quickly lean back before she cried at the the sight of so many innocent children, the youngest of which was, what? Maybe eleven?
Changing subject from the hell in her mind she added, "Especially with this one, he's silent, maybe a little shocked? I think I might have got the girl who messed him up." I tripped her for sure. Thank the heavens for good old fashioned fighting. She kept the last part to herself but at once became curious to see how Shavonne faired.
Keeping herself stationary she examined Professor C. he had plenty of scrapes and bruises, including one large gash that was bleeding and looked nastily ready to puss. She saw all of this through what used to be his shirt. And he's asking US if we're ok. She couldn't help but laugh a little at the irony. "Are YOU ok?" She couldn't help but ask.

It appeared as though Shavonne was never allowed to make a dramatic exit. She hadn't gone more than six steps before she was once again reacquainted with the ground. Some filthy little huffie thought she could get the best of her.
She watched her rush over to Alexei and Crow and the three losers spent too much time feeling sorry for eachother. Shavonne saw this as the perfect opportunity to get rid of them right here and now. But decided Creighton might want first dibs. So she brushed herself off and made way for the Gryffindor common room. "Imbusiles."

Alexei was going to get that little brat. Nobody gets the best of him and gets away with it. His eyes had been tracking her as she failed quite epically at leaving. He hadn't even heard the girl address him.
A girl had addressed him. Alexei didn't really talk to anyone, much less a female. He glanced up at her, she was quite attractive, and potentially not a total waste of space. "Hm?" He acknowledged, "I'm fine." He continued, joining the rest of the conscious world, "Little punk just got over on me. It's him who needs medical attention."
Alexei struggled to his feet. He'd almost forgotten the little snot stabbed him. He looked around at the mess that had unfolded. It was all for nothing. "That's the last time I help anyone." He muttered, he was pretty sure his shoelaces were untied as he hobbled out of the Great Hall.
"Thanks for the help Crow." He never forgot manners.

Vincent leaned against the shattered door frame with his makeshift crutch and seemed to be elsewhere for a moment. When he looked up again it was at Adela and looked amused by the determination on her face. “Oh, no…no… As long as you’re here I’ll take the help. I just don’t need a bunch of 2nd and 3rd years tripping over dead bodies.“
At mention of Shavonne he suddenly became more alert and looked around the hall, eyes narrowed. He caught sight of her nearly to the stairs and snapped his wand at her. “Immobulus!” The girl froze where she was.
Vincent pushed away from the wall and started to hobble his way to the other end of the hall towards Shavonne, looking as furious as someone with a bad limp could. He didn’t seem to hear any of the concern about his health but hadn’t forgotten about Alexei either. He paused halfway across the hall to catch his breath and address the Ravenclaw’s retreating back.
“You’re welcome and thank you for all your help. Now get back here, this isn’t over yet and we still need you. And you need help with that leg.“ Since Alexei had been so selfless before Vincent was baffled as to why the boy had suddenly turned antisocial. His attitude problems would have to wait until later, though. They had work to do.
And a traitor to deal with. He clunked the rest of the way to Shavonne and glared down at her. “I’m not sure where you think you’re going either. You’ve got a lot to answer to, Shavonne.”
He turned back to Adela and Alexei. “There isn’t much we can do here yet. We need to go check on the others and see if we can secure the castle. She’s coming with us.” He nodded at Shavonne.

Adela delighted mentally in the fact that she wouldn't have to argue about staying or not, Crow HAD made a good point about the 2nd and 3rd years. It would scar them for life. Then again, the kids that had escaped with their lives minutes before had probably already spread the news. Did they even make it back alive? She realized with a shiver that none of the people present knew whether those survivors were alive. Creighton WAS still on the loose and he had gone after them once, who was to say he wouldn't attack them in the halls?
"Crow!", she was going to lose it if Creighton got his hands on another kid, "I agree about Shavonne but don't you think we should worry about the more innocent students first? Especially those who aren't pure-blooded." Including myself. She added in her head and shivered at the idea of being killed so cruelly, without a fight. That was not going to be her. No way in hell was that going to be her. Or anyone else for that matter. This minister of chaos was going down.
Crow addressed the retreating ravenclaw. Why would he want to leave when so many wrong things were happening? She couldn't understand him at all but it was worth a shot if he could aid others.
"Yea, we kind of need you," She threw in to see if he would stop. She hated asking for help but she knew that if she didn't... an image of the dead children in the hall flew threw her head. They definitely needed help.
