For much of the exchange between his young guard and the others Vincent didn’t move or speak except for when he was jostled. Then his chin would bounce on his chest but he didn’t seem capable of moving himself. Blood ran down his face and from the wound on his chest leaving a trail wherever he was flung.

So he listened.

Shavonne’s role in all of this was becoming clear now. Cadogan’s was not. Shavonne’s lust for power was not such a surprise based on what he knew of her need for control. That it was so strong at her age was. Cadogan didn’t give that impression. It was hard to say what sort of impression he gave at all without being able to either hear what he might have “said” to Creighton or watch his body language. Based on the very audible slap and the Minister’s response, though, he guessed there was some sort of disagreement on Cadogan’s part. About what would have been nice to know. Clearly, he should have been paying closer attention to the students.

When they had left for the second time Vincent waited until they had turned several corners and were nearly to the hospital wing. Then he was quick. No one had thought to take his wand, probably because he was so badly damaged, and it was still pinned under his arm. The spell he used burnt his arm and the chair but effectively freed him by severing the restraint on that arm. From there it was easy enough to stun Shavonne, she stood so close and was so occupied with sulking.

Once he was sure Shavonne was out he gave a look around for any other trouble before freeing himself. Creighton didn’t seem to be feeling too bad and neither was he. Dawn’s spell was holding well but he’d already bled so much it was apparently enough to fool everyone into thinking he was still bleeding to death with some additional acting. A wobble as he knelt to loop an arm under the DARK leader reminded him that his head was actually still bleeding, though. That helped the ruse, giving his eyes that extra bit of vacancy, but he’d have to do something about it soon.

First things first, though. “More running,” Vincent muttered as he and his captive dissolved into the faint blue mist and moved forward, making a circuit of the castle back to the seventh floor.

Shavonne still had a lot to learn about people, but relished in the lessons she was getting out of dealing with people. No matter the circumstances. Today's lesson: don't get lost in thought and underestimate the victim.

While Shavonne had been skulking she and Creighton hadn't thought to take his wand. Granted the sack of rotting meat could barely breathe much less move. The smell of burnt flesh and melting leather was quickly followed by her going stiff. One thing she'd learned early on was to never let go of her own weapon. She engaged her death grip on the hunk of wood and went to the floor with an unecessary thud.

Strike Two. She was not going to end this empty handed. Stunning spells were only temporary, and with the state Crow was in during casting, it couldn't be more than a few minutes. So she would wait while he ran himself down carrying her weight, it wasn't much; but to a half-dead man she might as well have weighed a metric ton.

As he hobbled his way back to the seventh floor it just occured to her how much information Creighton let Crow have and wander off with. She wondered what his plans must be. Any idiot would know that the very first rule of villany is never tell your adversary your plan. (Rule two is having a proper evil laugh.)

Her fingers were the first to regain mobility. Luckily. She began slowly moving her wrists back and forth until she was sure she could have full movement of them. Once she regained controll of her wrists she felt her legs get pins and needles. It was almost unbareably uncomfortable but that meant that she'd soon be able to run. She cast a glance at her 'Professor', flicked her wrist and whispered "Petrificus Totalis". She may have had a slight concussion, but she was still stronger than this soon to be inferi.

They both dropped to the floor. Struggling to control her arms she freed herself of him and proceeded to stand over him. Placing her own wand in her back belt loop beneath her robes, she pulled out the Ayers boy's wand. It came in handy for situations like this. She felt a dark rush through her veins as she pointed it at the lifeless body. Her eyes flashed with wicked pleasure as the words left her lips, "Imperio!" The Cruciartis curse would not have pained him as much as being forcibly walked into the hospital wing by a fourteen year old girl. And obviously Creighton didn't want the infidel dead.

She jerked the wand up, and Crow unnaturally rose with it.
"WALK." She ordered with a voice that did not fit her small stature. It was much lower, older, angrier, and more powerful than her own. In times like this, it was almost as if she were not herself; but herself 20 years from now. She walked behind the 'professor', watching each unnatural step he took. Her smirk widening with each step closer.

Nik was an idiot. Did he honestly think he could get away without being followed whilst she had his broom? No. Despite her state (she's feeling better! She SWEARS!) she was going to tail Nikolai to see where he was going that was so important.

It didn't occur to her that handling a broom while seriously injured would be difficult. But she figured if she gritted her teeth past the pain and really focused she could steer the ecursed thing in Nik's general direction. After this, they were going to talk. They hadn't really been too close after Christmas, but damn it this had to be long enough. You don't fall down a flight of stairs and leave someone on a broom and not have anything to say afterwards.

She'd accidentally taken the scenic route around the seventh floor and found that creepy Gryffindor girl- Shavonne something- walking behind a very awkward Crow. She didn't know what was going on, and, frankly, didn't want to. She hovered past them and kept moving along the hallways. Tracking Nikolai's train of thought, which at this point was more of just emotions in her state. Her head was pounding too hard to make out words, but he was very angry at someone. When she saw who it was she was thrown off the broom and it kept going into the statue and hit the ground.

Things were making less and more sense at the same time. Which was not helping Victoria's headache. Shavonne had been coming from the Headmistress' office, which Creighton now occupied and Nik was in. She wasn't sure what Shavonne, Crow, Creighton, and Nikolai had in common, but she was going to find out. Something in the pit of her stomach said she wasn't going to like it.

She removed herself from the carpet, and grabbed his broom, and strutted into the office. Walked up to Nik, placing her arm around his hip, slippin his wand in his back pocket while thinking of jewish camels.

"Nik, as you can see I'm having a little trouble flying," she began, keeping her eyes fixed on Creighton, unsure of his next move, "walk me to the hospital wing." In the back of her head she was planning on kidnapping Nik and interrogating the sh*t out of him in the boy's dorm. However the front of her mind was focused on who made Brittney Spears' wigs.

It was clear that if Balthazar wanted students to stop crashing into his new office that he would have to lock the door. It was always such that the Headmaster's Office was locked in his day, and it never occured to him why. Most students avoided the general area out of fear or respect. Clearly things have changed over the last few decades.

A young woman he'd seen and been irritated by earlier had just crashed what was apparantly Hellen Keller's broom. She was in terrible shape. And after hearing that Cadogan had left her to essentially bleed to death he wasn't sure whether to scorn or commend the poor chap.

This girl obviously had an agenda with the way she was behaving. But Balthazar stood silently as the girl talked to Nik, her eyes fixed on him. He could see her knuckles whitening around her wand. Most likely so she won't drop it. He figured he may as well see what they had in mind for Balthazar.

He concentrated, and found jewish camels and a white woman shaving her head. He blinked a few times in rapid sucession and brought himself to reality. His eyes followed them as she attempted to drag the little creton out. He would see them again.
